I bought versions 1 through 5 because I’m just that way. Having read them all I now know I didn’t need to. Having a copy is essential. Having multiple is an unnecessary extravagance. This book really helped me to use Lightroom. I had for years tried to get into it but unsuccessfully. This book has an amazing index and great photos to show exactly where to click. I was so happy with this author that I ordered his book on Photoshop CC as well. These books are the ones to used. Nobody should be without them.

Excellent book especially for anyone wanting to learn the why and how to do things. Not for the casual or quick read. I had been struggling to get up to speed with Lightroom and found this book very good.

It helped that I was reasonably familiar with Photoshop but then that also may have been my problem is some respects. This is a book I am going to use for reference. Martin Evening has a long teaching and writing experience and does so clearly. It is a good idea in the first instance to follow the book page by page with LR5 running in the background containing a variety of image examples that you can practice on as you go.
